The series is intended to inspire people to visit these iconic landscapes and bring awareness to the protections they deserve.

  • EcoFlight flies over the Hidden Gems proposed wilderness areas in Gunnison County, Colorado. The Hidden Gems Wilderness Campaign is seeking to grant the highest protection to some of Colorado's most precious and threatened public and wildlife lands.

  • EcoFlight teams up with the Institutes of Journalism & Natural resources as part of a week-long learning expedition fellowship for 25 journalists from around the country. Their mission is to study in-depth the complex debate over New Mexico's energy future.

They are gathering baseline data on the white bark pine beetle infestation, to advocate for a system wide survey of white bark pine beetle damage in the forests of the entire Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
